Private Client Solicitor - Birmingham - 5-10 PQE + Benefits
This Private Client Solicitor role in Birmingham is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious solicitor to join a highly regarded team within an established UK law firm.
With a strong reputation in the private wealth market and an established client base, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-value and complex matters, develop intermediary relationships and play an active role in the continued growth of the practice.
The Role:
- Manage a varied caseload of private client matters, with a focus on high-value and complex probate work
- Advise high-net-worth individuals on estate planning and wealth preservation
- Handle estate administration, including the creation and administration of lifetime and Will trusts
- Advise on inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax planning
- Build and develop relationships with professional intermediaries and referrers
- Support, supervise and mentor junior members of the team
- Contribute to business development and the ongoing growth of the practice
The Candidate:
- Qualified Private Client Solicitor with ideally 5-10 years' PQE
- Strong technical experience across private client matters, particularly complex probate and estate planning
- Experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
- Knowledge of trusts, estate administration and tax planning
- STEP qualification would be advantageous, although a willingness to undertake the qualification is essential
- Commercially minded, with an interest in business development and developing referral networks
- Excellent communication, organisation and client relationship skills
- STEP qualification funding available, subject to the firm's terms
