The predicted salary is between 30000 - 35000 £ per year.

Start times will be between 3am and 5am, with finish time dependent on the time the last order is delivered and your return to the depot. You will work 5 out of 6 days Monday to Saturday, inclusive of Bank Holidays. You will work as part of our Depot Team to ensure that all orders are delivered to our customers in line with requirements, ensuring everything arrives in the chef’s kitchen in perfect order.

What You Will Do

  • Drive a 7.5‑tonne vehicle to transport orders to customers nationwide.
  • Always ensure customers receive first‑class customer service during their delivery, interacting with customers respectfully and professionally.
  • Deliver each order in accordance with the delivery instructions; if it is not possible to deliver as instructed, raise the issue immediately to the Depot team.
  • Use GPS navigation, the order system and a PDA device responsibly.
  • Verify that the order matches the invoice; if there are any discrepancies, raise the issue with the Depot team.
  • Adhere to UK HGV driving laws at all times.
  • Keep the vehicle clean and tidy at all times in line with the cleaning schedule.
  • Complete a daily walk‑round check on your assigned vehicle before departing the depot to ensure it is roadworthy and raise any vehicle issues as required.
  • Maintain hygiene standards at all times, complying with BRC accreditation and the company’s high GMP standards.
  • Have knowledge of company and statutory Health & Safety, security and emergency procedures.

What You Will Need

  • Full UK driving licence and LGV C1 licence.
  • Driver CPC and Digi Card.
  • Good understanding of UK HGV driving laws.
  • Good understanding of GB HGV drivers’ hours rules.
  • Reliability and conscientiousness, as you will work independently.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills to minimize disruption to customers.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, and an enthusiastic, can‑do attitude.
