You will work as part of our Depot Team to ensure that all orders are delivered to our customers in line with requirements, ensuring everything arrives in the chef’s kitchen in perfect order. This role covers our second deliveries to customers with a start time between approximately 3am and 5am until the route is finished. Part time and full time positions are available.
What You Will Do
- Always deliver first class customer service during deliveries, interacting with customers in a respectful and professional manner.
- Deliver each order as per the delivery instructions; if it is not possible to deliver as instructed, raise this immediately with the Depot team.
- Use GPS navigation, the order system, and a PDA device as part of your duties.
- When delivering to the customer, ensure the order matches the invoice; raise any issues with the Depot Team as needed.
- Adhere to UK driving laws at all times.
- Keep your vehicle clean and tidy at all times in line with the cleaning schedule.
- Conduct a daily walk-round check on your assigned vehicle before departing the depot to ensure it is roadworthy, raising any issues as required.
- Maintain hygiene standards in line with BRC accreditation and our GMP standards.
- Have knowledge of company and statutory Health & Safety, security, and emergency procedures.
What You Will Need
- Full UK driving licence.
- Good understanding of UK driving laws.
- Good understanding of GB domestic drivers’ hours rules.
- Ability to work independently; reliable and conscientious.
- Strong problem solving skills to minimise disruption to customers.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an enthusiastic, can-do attitude.
