What the day job looks like:

As a Commercial Finance Assistant, you will:

• Analyse profitability by channel, customer, and SKU.
• Administer and process all price changes, including supporting annual reviews and ad-hoc updates.
• Manage the day-to-day credit note process and recommend process improvements.
• Maintain accurate calculations of customer rebates and overriders, ensuring effective reconciliation.
• Prepare regular reports on pricing, rebates, and other commercial metrics.
• Collaborate with the wider finance and commercial teams to support business objectives.
• Undertake additional duties as required to support the finance function.

This role will suit you if:

• You have at least some experience in a commercial finance-related role (e.g., finance assistant, accounts assistant, or similar).
• You've worked in a fast-paced FMCG environment - or bring transferable skills from another commercial sector.
• You understand fundamental accounting and commercial principles (accruals, reconciliations, ledger management, P&L, overriders etc).
• You're proficient in Excel and comfortable picking up new financial software and digital tools.
• You communicate clearly and confidently, and build strong relationships across teams.
• You're self-motivated, take initiative, and enjoy suggesting improvements to processes.

This role may not be for you if:

• You prefer a narrow, single-focus role rather than a varied one spanning pricing, rebates, and reporting.
• You're not comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, or reconciling data on a regular basis.
• You'd rather work independently than collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Services, and FP&A.
