Van Driver – Westcott Depot – £12.78 per hour About the role: You will work as part of our Depot Team to ensure all orders are delivered to customers in line with requirements, ensuring everything arrives in the chef’s kitchen in perfect order. This position involves covering our second deliveries to customers, with start times between approximately 3am-5am until your route is completed. Part-time and full-time positions are available. What you will do: Provide first-class customer service during deliveries, interacting respectfully and professionally with customers. Deliver each order as per the delivery instructions, raising any issues immediately with the Depot team if delivery is not possible as instructed. Use GPS navigation, the order system, and a PDA device responsibly. Ensure orders match invoices upon delivery and report any discrepancies to the Depot Team. Adhere to UK driving laws at all times. Keep the vehicle clean and tidy according to the cleaning schedule. Conduct a daily walk-round check on the vehicle before departing to ensure it is roadworthy, reporting any issues. Maintain hygiene standards in line with BRC accreditation and GMP standards. Be familiar with company and statutory Health & Safety, security, and emergency procedures. What you will need: Full UK driving licence. Good understanding of UK driving laws and GB domestic drivers’ hours rules. Reliability and conscientiousness, working independently. Strong problem-solving skills to minimize disruptions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a positive, can-do attitude. Benefits: One day off per year for volunteering.
