What the day job looks like:

In this full-time role as a SHE Coordinator , you will:

  • Provide advisory support to site departments on all things Safety, Health, and Environment.
  • Monitor safety training and ensure compliance with legislation and internal policies.
  • Conduct audits (including ISO 45001 and 50001), safety walks, and inspections to identify hazards and opportunities.
  • Support managers in carrying out risk assessments and developing improvement plans.
  • Lead administration for safety documentation, training (IHASCO), and insurance inspections.
  • Respond to incidents and emergencies, assist in investigations, and ensure corrective actions are taken.
  • Be the main point of contact for SHE data collection, monthly reporting, and internal SHE initiatives.
  • Help drive continuous improvement in SHE processes across the business.
  • Support with additional duties within the team.

This role will suit you if:

  • You have previous experience in Health & Safety, auditing, or operational support.
  • You hold (or willing to work towards) a NEBOSH General Certificate, IOSH Managing Safely, or ISO lead auditor qualification.
  • You’re proactive, highly organised, and thrive in dynamic environments.
  • You’re confident working independently while building strong working relationships across departments.
  • You love digging into the detail and helping teams achieve high standards safely and efficiently.

  • You don’t enjoy working across varied teams and site environments.
  • You struggle to manage multiple tasks, follow through on audits, or stay on top of documentation.

Terms

  • 40 hrs/wk 8.00am–4.30pm Mon–Fri (flexibility with regard to start time)
  • Hybrid role (however probationary period will be fully on-site due to operational needs)
  • Probationary period 3 months
  • Annual salary review (our ‘movers and shakers’ are always rewarded)
  • 10% KPI related bonus based around challenging but achievable tasks related to the role
