About the role
This is an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our team at Wellocks. As a Key Account Manager, you will deliver exceptional customer management and maximise business growth. Working closely with external customers and internal stakeholders to build partnerships and ensure the business maximises the commercial offering and provides a best in class customer experience.
What you will do:
- Manage and develop strong partnerships with Key Account customers
- Deliver new business growth in line with business strategy and KPIs
- Completion of new customer tenders in line with set critical paths and submission dates
- Plan and lead in regular review meetings, visits with customers and their sites
- Negotiate trading terms, pricing and basket opportunities
- Address customers’ day to day needs and concerns as quickly and effectively as possible
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships both internally & externally to enable effective and timely deliverables
- Lead in the management of customer focused projects such as menu changes and seasonal forecasting both with customers and internal stakeholders
- Support in the implementation of the Wellocks commercial strategy
- Responsibility for the delivery of key KPIs (including but not limited to – margin, sales, average order value)
- Work with the Commercial Analyst to review & communicate price changes and updates according to scheduled pricing calendar
- Support in the continuous review and improvement of commercial process’
- Travel as required to attend regular customer meetings and reviews, visit customer sites to build relationships with their teams, attend industry events and represent the company at trade shows
What you will need:
- Demonstrable experience in an account manager role, must have experience of the food industry, ideally within foodservice or hospitality
- Proactive, with a solution and results driven approach
- Highly organised with a strong attention to detail
- Passion for food and produce
- Owner mentality with demonstrated experience of continuous improvement and implementing process change
- Proven track record of success in line with business strategy and KPIs, with a focus on new business development
- Analytical and proficient in the use of Microsoft Office including Excel
- Strong numerical skills (including pricing and analysis)
