Full time, commencing September 2026. Salary – From £36,400 to £53,040 per annum FTE, depending on previous years experience. William Hulme's Grammar School (WHGS) is an all-through school and one of the most over-subscribed schools in Manchester. We have an excellent reputation and high aspirations for all our students, who enjoy an academically rich curriculum and are equipped with the skills that help them become responsible members of the local and global community.
Responsibilities
- Teach GCSE and A Level Biology.
- Teach BTEC Applied Science and BTEC Health and Social Care (if applicable).
- Design and deliver thoughtful, challenging, and engaging lessons that inspire students to explore and challenge their understanding.
- Support students in developing scientific understanding, debate, and collaboration.
Qualifications & Expectations
- Enthusiastic teacher at the start of their career or a more experienced practitioner.
- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for inspiring students.
- Ability to refine pedagogy and grow in confidence as a classroom practitioner.
- Readiness to teach across the secondary phase.
