The UK Compliance team, part of the Risk and Intelligent Automation function at evoke PLC, ensures regulatory compliance and optimal customer outcomes. The team fosters a culture of trust, flexibility, and progress, supporting professional growth and development. The Regulatory Compliance Manager role, within the second line of defense, ensures regulatory risks are effectively managed and provides oversight of the first line. This role is essential in maintaining integrity, transparency, and compliance across both retail and online operations in the UK, covering areas such as LCCP, AML/CTF, KYC, and responsible gambling obligations.
What you will be doing
- Monitor UK and Gibraltar gambling regulations, directives, and industry codes to ensure compliance and implementation of changes.
- Develop, update, and enforce compliance policies and procedures to ensure operations adhere to UK and Gibraltar requirements.
- Provide guidance to first line and product teams on the interpretation of compliance requirements.
- Produce regular reports for senior management on compliance status, analysing changes, and raising concerns as needed.
- Support business-wide training on compliance matters.
- Stay updated on relevant legislation, LCCP, and industry best practices; represent evoke at BGC forums.
- Ensure proper governance and decision-making in line with UK Gambling Commission expectations, including regular risk assessments.
- Promote ethical conduct and a compliance culture, drive continuous improvement, and advise on investigations of compliance/risk incidents.
Who we are looking for
- Demonstrated experience in compliance, legal, or risk management roles in a regulated sector, preferably within betting and gaming.
- Understanding of LCCP, AML/CTF requirements, and experience with GB and Gibraltar licensing processes, including compliance assessments.
- Excellent communication skills to build relationships across the business and with external stakeholders, along with strong leadership and organisational abilities in managing compliance programmes.
- Analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in using data for risk assessment, with strong problem-solving skills and competence in Microsoft Office.
