Reporting to the Senior Manager, Compliance and Reporting, based in London, you will support corporate tax compliance, reporting, forecasting, and tax risk management activities across the Group.
This is an exciting time to join the team as we continue to strengthen our in-house tax capabilities. We are bringing a number of tax compliance and reporting processes back in-house from external providers and establishing a dedicated corporation tax team within our Shared Services Centre in the Philippines. These initiatives form part of a wider transformation programme designed to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability of our tax function.
What you will be doing:
- Managing the end-to-end delivery of global corporate tax compliance activities, including tax computations, returns, filings, quarterly tax payments, CT61s, and responses to tax enquiries.
- Supporting the forecasting and management of the Group’s Effective Tax Rate and cash tax position, maintaining forecasting models and assessing the tax impact of business changes.
- Preparing half-year and year-end tax reporting under IFRS, drafting tax disclosures for statutory accounts, and coordinating with external auditors throughout the audit process.
- Designing and documenting efficient tax processes, partnering with the Senior Manager to implement improvements and leverage technology to enhance compliance and reporting activities.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders and ensuring tax procedures are clearly communicated, understood, and consistently followed.
- Liaising with HMRC on routine, non-contentious tax matters and managing day-to-day correspondence.
- Overseeing the preparation and submission of UK R&D tax credit and capital allowances claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation.
- Monitoring tax legislation and regulatory developments, identifying potential business impacts, supporting communication across the organisation, and assisting with Pillar Two tax calculations and compliance.
