What you will be doing:

  • Ensuring RTS requirements are translated into clear internal standards, design controls, testing criteria, evidence requirements, and approval gates
  • Providing second line oversight and challenge on whether products, systems and change activity meet RTS requirements before release
  • Maintaining effective governance over RTS control operation, assurance, issue escalation, and remediation
  • Acting as the senior compliance SME for RTS interpretation, testing strategy, and regulatory engagement on technical standards matters
  • Ensuring RTS obligations are embedded into product design, software development, architecture, deployment, and operational processes from initial scoping through to live operation
  • Advising the business on where RTS applies within retail environments, particularly for products or channels that constitute remote gambling or rely on remote communication; the Commission's remote sector guidance includes self-service betting terminals in betting shops among examples of remote gambling
  • Owning the running and results of the annual games testing audit

Who we are looking for:

  • Significant experience in gambling compliance, technical compliance, IT controls, product compliance, technical assurance or technology risk in a regulated environment with hands-on experience interpreting and implementing the Gambling Commission's RTS or equivalent regulated technical standards
  • Demonstrable experience overseeing technical testing, certification, control evidence, and release governance for regulated products or systems alongside experience working across software delivery, product, operations, supplier management, and second line governance
  • Experience managing regulatory findings, technical incidents, audit actions, and control remediation with experience leading teams and influencing senior stakeholders across compliance, product, and technology
  • Working knowledge of the GB RTS framework, including security requirements and the Commission's testing expectations with an excellent understanding of technical control design, SDLC governance, defect and release management, third-party assurance, and evidence-based compliance
  • The ability to convert regulatory standards into operational requirements, measurable controls, and pragmatic governance

  • Perks and discounts: discounts at a range of high-street retailers

  • Health & wellbeing tools and services to help support your well-being, including support with mental health and financial education. You will also have access to gym discounts and our cycle-to-work scheme
  • Hybrid working: employees can work from home up to 80% of the time with 20% office time built in to ensure some face-to-face collaborative team time
