Here at evoke plc, we are looking for an ACA, ACCA, CIMA Group Reporting Manager to join our UK team. Based in central London, one day a week, you will join our Group's finance department and ensure financial information complies with accounting standards, regulations and reporting requirements.

Within the role, you will be part of the Financial Control team, responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and providing technical expertise to support the financial operations and decision-making processes to assist the Group in meeting its financial objectives.

What you will be doing:

  • Accountable for the accurate and timely statutory and consolidated financial statements (including the Group consolidated IFRS listed entity financial statements) and disclosures, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements by collaborating across functions.
  • Responsible for the Group audit and relationship with the external auditors whilst providing input and support for the preparation of Statutory Accounts across the Group, and other statutory requirements as required.
  • Supporting all internal and external audit activities through the provision of required documentation, attendance of necessary meetings and being a key liaison officer to the external auditors.
  • Developing and implementing new accounting policies, procedures and standards.
  • Ensuring accurate and complete financial records and a sound internal controls environment are maintained.
  • Identifying and resolving accounting issues and discrepancies and preparing technical accounting papers on technical accounting issues such as goodwill and impairment, consolidation, going concern and viability as well as all other areas involving judgements and/or estimates, as well as providing guidance and expertise to junior staff.
  • Performing financial close analysis whilst ensuring compliance with external audit requirements, maintaining documentation of accounting policies and procedures to maintain statutory requirements.
  • Reviewing and owning the Group Balance Sheet reconciliation process, presenting to leadership when required and building key internal relationships with Divisional finance teams, FP&A, Company Secretariat, Group Tax and Group Treasury teams.

  • An accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with 5+ years post qualification experience, excellent technical accounting knowledge and ability to solve complex accounting issues.
  • In-depth experience in financial reporting, or related roles, with an excellent understanding of accounting standards and regulations.
  • Experience working in a listed environment and/or regulated environment ideally with experience with financial software and ERP systems.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including the ability to explain technical accounting concepts to financial and non-financial stakeholders.
