Based in Leeds or London, we are looking for a Compliance Assurance Officer to join our expanding Risk & Compliance team. An excellent opportunity for a candidate in the early stages of their compliance career looking for the next step up.
You will support the assurance managers in executing the group assurance programme, performing assurance tasks across multiple 1st line teams.
What you will be doing:
- Assisting in the execution of the testing required as part of the annual Compliance Assurance Programme.
- Assisting the Compliance Assurance Managers to carry out testing by gathering data, documents, processes, and other Management Information as required.
- Writing up findings/recommendations, agreeing responses with the area under review and presenting the findings/recommendations as part of the Assurance Report.
- Recording all recommendations and actions resulting from reviews undertaken and pro-actively chasing these until resolution.
- Identifying trends and root causes in all breaches and shortcomings; being proactive and collaborative with line management to make relevant changes to policies, procedures and working practices.
- Reviewing and critically appraising evidence presented in support of proposed action closure.
- Providing ad-hoc support to the wider team as required.
Who we are looking for:
- Previous Audit or Assurance experience in a highly regulated industry.
- Organised and structured individual with excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders, as well as keep an eye on the customer.
- Understanding of governance and control frameworks.
- Gaming Experience is preferable - not essential.
