William Highbourne Wealth Management is an established and growing independent financial planning firm.

As we expand and relocate to our new offices at Woodbury Business Park, we are seeking ambitious and technically capable individuals to join our team as Technical Administration Associates.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the technical side of financial planning and is looking to progress into a client-facing Financial Planner or Wealth Manager role within the next 2 to 4 years.

The Opportunity

Working closely with our advisers team, you will play a key role in researching, analysing and implementing financial planning recommendations while developing the technical expertise required to become an adviser.

This is not a traditional administration role.

We are looking for individuals who want to build a long-term career in financial planning and who are excited by investment, pension, retirement and tax planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting advisers with the preparation and implementation of financial planning recommendations.
  • Researching pensions, investments, protection and estate planning solutions.
  • Preparing suitability reports and technical planning documentation.
  • Producing cashflow modelling and financial planning analysis.
  • Reviewing client investment portfolios, risk profiles and asset allocations.
  • Conducting product and provider research.
  • Processing new business and recommendation implementation.
  • Liaising with providers, platforms, solicitors, accountants and other professional connections.
  • Maintaining accurate client records and compliance documentation.
  • Assisting with annual reviews and ongoing client servicing.
  • Supporting investment research and model portfolio reviews.
  • Ensuring all work complies with FCA regulations and Consumer Duty requirements.

These responsibilities align with the firm's technical support, research and adviser support functions, including product research, portfolio analysis, recommendation implementation and maintaining client records.

About You Essential

  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning (or equivalent), or actively working towards completion.
  • Previous experience within financial planning, wealth management, investments, pensions, banking or financial services.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A professional and client-focused approach.
  • Good report writing and communication skills.
  • Experience using financial planning software, platforms and CRM systems.
  • Experience writing or supporting suitability reports.
  • Understanding of pensions, investments, tax planning and protection.
  • Progress towards Chartered Financial Planner status.
