We are looking for a Senior Commercial Marketing leader to drive best‑in‑class below‑the‑line activation across our luxury Spirits portfolio in the UK. This role plays a pivotal part in delivering our Marketing vision across iconic brands such as Glenfiddich, Balvenie, Hendrick's, Monkey Shoulder and The Famous Grouse. The role will involve shaping Category and Customer Marketing priorities, optimising activation across the shopper journey, and unlocking sustainable category growth. You will lead a high‑performing team, influence and collaborate with senior stakeholders, and build the capabilities required to activate at scale in a complex, fast‑moving market. This role is based in our UK Owned Distribution Centre and the successful candidate will be able to work in our Hook office 4 days a week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of UK Category and Customer Marketing priorities through the annual commercial plan.
  • Build and lead a Centre of Excellence in Commercial Planning & Execution, driving capability, consistency, and knowledge transfer across WG&S ODC markets and with BBU.
  • Drive the UK Category Vision and Strategy, strengthening supplier relationships and reinforcing our partner‑of‑choice agenda.
  • Lead robust activation planning informed by high‑quality data, insight, and evaluation at both point of purchase and consumption.
  • Embed measurement, evaluation, and governance to ensure effective prioritisation of spend and resources.
  • Lead IBP and Commercial Planning processes, driving strong cross‑functional collaboration with Customer teams, Brand Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain.
  • Own operational excellence across budgets, agency management, and activation investment.
  • Lead, inspire, and develop the Commercial Planning & Execution team, role‑modelling inclusive leadership and strong performance standards.
  • Act as a proactive and influential member of the UK leadership community.

Qualifications

  • Proven senior experience in Customer Marketing, Category, or Commercial Activation within a complex, matrixed environment.
  • Demonstrated FMCG and/or Drinks experience will be preferred.
  • Will possess a clear strategic and commercial mindset with the ability to translate insight into impactful execution.
  • A confident leader with experience building engaged teams, developing talent and unlocking potential in people.
  • Highly effective at influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross‑functional collaboration.
  • Demonstrable financial acumen, with experience managing budgets, agencies, and ROI‑driven activation.
  • Curious, ambitious, and collaborative, with a passion for raising standards and delivering growth through great activation.
