We are looking for an experienced Lead Finance Analyst to join the Group Finance Team based in Scotland with responsibility for the implementation and operation of the new and improved control environment across the Finance Function and the business as a whole. This is a highly diverse role with core responsibility of building relationships with financial stakeholders across all business units, from the production sites across the UK and Ireland who make our award‑winning spirits to our worldwide distribution and marketing offices.

This role is responsible for the design, compilation and ownership of the controls framework for Finance Teams across the Group. Educating and engaging stakeholders from all levels in the organisation about risk and control topics will be a crucial part of delivering the vision of an improved control environment suitable for the best drinks company in the world. You will also support the Group Finance Team by owning the risk register and control self‑assessment and collaborate with Internal Audit on identifying and remediating control deficiencies. Regular reporting on the performance of the Group on controls and compliance matters to the Group Financial Controls Leader and the wider Leadership Team will also be expected, giving insight and making impactful recommendations. Another aspect of the role is to deliver the monthly financial control process, as part of a team looking after capital reporting, the profit reconciliation and balance sheet reconciliations.

Our Ideal Candidate

You will be a qualified accountant with experience in implementing, assessing or operating financial controls. You will have a solid understanding of best practice in mature control environments and be knowledgeable about current risk and controls challenges faced by large corporations. Being an impactful individual who can collaborate within a team and confidently communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation is a key ability of a successful candidate. You will be able to make commercially relevant recommendations demonstrating strong judgment and sensitivity to the cultural and organisational diversity in our organisation.
