We're looking for a skilled and motivated Maintenance Technician – Electrical to join our engineering team at Girvan. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a vital role in maintaining and improving the reliability, safety, and performance of our production operations.
What you'll be doing:
- Providing specialist technical support to maximise efficiency and ensure completion of planned, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, safe systems of work, and documented procedures.
- Building strong working relationships with Process and Spirit Supply teams to deliver exceptional customer service in line with agreed SLAs.
- Driving and supporting improvement projects, participating in root cause analysis, FMEA/FMECA, and other advanced problem‐solving activities.
- Completing preventive maintenance activities on time and to the required quality and workmanship standards.
- Responding effectively to unplanned breakdowns, performing root cause analysis and implementing permanent corrective actions, with a focus on complex technical issues.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance and technical records, ensuring plant history and planned activities are updated through the CMMS.
- Recording all maintenance, inspection, verification, and repair data in the CMMS (IFS) for KPI tracking and reporting.
- Developing and maintaining competence, ensuring all tasks are completed safely, professionally, and efficiently.

About You:
- Qualified electrical technician with experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem‐solving skills, particularly in breakdown response and root cause analysis.
- Understands safe working practices and consistently meets compliance and quality expectations.
- Communicates clearly and builds strong working relationships across teams.
- Confident using CMMS systems and maintaining accurate engineering records.
- Brings a focus on continuous improvement and is comfortable supporting team-based projects.
- Demonstrates inclusive behaviours and contributes positively to team culture.
