The Opportunity

WG&S’ Business Growth team is responsible for initiating, leading and delivering projects, in coordination with WG&S’ Executive Board, to address the key priorities and issues that will deliver the Groups’ long-term plans and growth. To achieve this the Business Growth team partners with a wide range of leaders from across WG&S’ Business Units, regions and markets, bringing analytical rigour and structured problem-solving to topics ranging from business and financial planning, to M&A and JV appraisal, to organisation development.

What You Will Be Doing

You will play leading roles on a wide range of strategic initiatives for WG&S’ Executive Board and Business Unit leaders, including regional and market business development, RTM analysis and M&A opportunity assessment. You will autonomously build financial and other analytical models to understand the impact of WG&S’ strategic choices and investments and help develop Board-ready presentation materials to communicate Business Growth team recommendations. You will support the management of Business Growth’s analytical tools, data and research materials, as well team management systems and documents.

Key to success is strong financial and commercial acumen, ability to partner and build strong relationships across WG&S’ Business Units and markets, as well as mastery of WG&S’ Internal Markets Operating Model.

About You

You will be experienced in business case development and investment analysis (e.g. DCF modelling), likely gained through roles in Investment Banking, Consultancy or In-House Corporate Development. You will be able to work autonomously when required but be comfortable playing an active role in supporting others to deliver larger projects. You will also be confident in your abilities to communicate (both verbal and written) well with and build rapport with stakeholders and leaders across the business and be able to establish positive working relationships with individuals across the globe, remotely and when required in-person.
