Job Introduction
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer to join our Girvan distilling site. You\’ll develop and deliver Capital & Special Revenue projects to increase site capabilities and improve process efficiencies within the WG&S Operations Business Unit.
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the scoping, design, and delivery of capital projects at the Girvan site.
- Work with a multi-disciplined project team, utilizing your EC&I background to complement the group\’s capabilities during project delivery.
- Implement capital projects to address plant issues, equipment obsolescence, capacity and productivity increases, health & safety, and environmental initiatives.
- Identify and quantify development plans for input into our site Master Plans, including budgets and justifications.
- Provide detailed data to support project prioritization and manage projects from conception to completion, including:
- Developing project concepts and approaches with comprehensive and realistic requirements.
- Conducting financial analyses and preparing full capex submissions with clear investment cases.
- Identifying potential suppliers, developing sourcing strategies, tendering, and optimizing costs while ensuring contractual protections.
- Delivering projects that meet stakeholder expectations within scope, quality, cost, and timelines.
Delivery includes coordinating installation activities, creating commissioning documentation, rolling out training and handover materials, and maintaining financial controls and reporting.
Our Ideal Candidate
Trust and respect are vital. We seek someone with a degree or equivalent project management experience, with expertise in electrical, controls & instrumentation engineering. Experience in project management methodologies, continuous improvement, health & safety, environmental compliance, and excellent communication skills are essential.
