Job Title: Business Lecturer (weekend)

Location: ONSITE, London, UK

Salary: Β£35K – Β£45K per year, pro-rated (Depending on experience and qualification)

Starting Date: 1st of October 2025.

Employment Type: 0.6 Part-Time:

We're open seven days a week to provide the best support to our students when they need it most. You'll work 3 days a week, scheduled across Monday to Sunday, with hours from 9:00am to 5:00pm. Other part-time contracts are available.

Job Description:

Join William Collegeas a Business Lecturer and be at the forefront of higher education innovation. As a key member of our dynamic team, you'll contribute to the delivery of business programs with renowned university partners. The person appointed will join a progressive team at William College and be involved in the delivery of a range of full-time programs, including Foundation year and full-degree courses in partnership with Canterbury Christ Church University, Bath Spa University, St Mary's University Twickenham London, and other partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality teaching and learning across a range of programs within a Higher Education setting, particularly Foundation year in Business and Marketing.
  • Tutor students, offering appropriate support to enable them to achieve their goals and progress to positive destinations.
  • Contribute to the development and continual improvement of courses, coordinating effectively with both staff and students.
  • Contribute to the production of module/unit-specific Scheme of Work.
  • Develop module materials for each of the modules being undertaken.
  • Provide/Deliver/Facilitate subject-specific sessions in line with the Learning Outcomes and syllabuses of modules.
  • Deploy assessments appropriately as set out by the assessment team.
  • Set out measures to understand the learning needs of students on their modules.
  • Support students with timely formative feedback to the extent prescribed by each of the program specifications.
  • Mark and provide summative feedback within the prescribed deadline published by the Assessment Team.
  • Ensure that all expectations of the Programme Specification of respective Awarding Bodies and Universities under which modules are being taught.
  • Produce appropriate module/unit reports.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Contribute to the Business School’s Research Department.

Competencies and Expertise:

  • The successful applicant must demonstrate competence and experience in the subjects of statistics, ICT, accounting, finance, and economics.

Essential Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Business/Law/or a PhD in the relevant area.
  • Teaching qualifications: PGCHE, MA in HE Practice, or FHEA, etc.
  • Previous lecturing experience for similar courses at HEI level.
  • Work in line with Blackboard / VLEs, MS Teams / Zoom.
