To support the management and monitoring of the Delegated Underwriting Authority (DUA) portfolio, as required by the DUA Manager and Chief Underwriting Officers across both trading platforms.

Contribute to the setup and ongoing operation of all DUAs, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory requirements.

Key Tasks

  • Carry out due diligence to ensure delegated authority contracts (Binding Authorities, Consortia, Lineslips, and Master/Group Policies) are within risk appetite standards and meet necessary requirements, including regulatory compliance.
  • Contribute to the review of Binding Authority contracts on behalf of the organisation’s Lloyd’s Coverholder and engage with brokers where necessary.
  • Support the DUA Manager in the effective due diligence and management of all aspects of new coverholder applications to Lloyd’s.
  • Support Underwriters in analysing bordereaux data as required.
  • Assist in the management of coverholder audits, including scheduling annual audits, processing audit reports, and managing audit recommendations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Underwriting, Operations, Finance, Compliance, and Claims to resolve day-to-day queries.
  • Collate relevant management information (MI) for internal meetings, such as monthly Underwriting Committees, and help coordinate and report on data required for regulatory returns when needed.
  • Contribute to the periodic review of Delegated Authority processes, written procedures, and controls to ensure they remain relevant and fit for purpose.
  • Support the DUA Manager in reviewing and evidencing compliance with relevant Lloyd’s Principles.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outputs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.

Key Technical Skills, Knowledge, and Professional Qualifications Required

  • In-depth experience managing Lloyd’s Coverholder relationships, processes, and regulatory requirements.
  • Working knowledge of Lloyd’s Delegated Authority systems, including Atlas, DCOM, DAM, and the Wordings Repository.
  • Ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at all levels, providing technical expertise and guidance on all aspects of DUA business and processes.
  • Strong understanding of Coverholder
