We are partnered with an Asset Management firm in supporting a key hire within their Global Product Function. In this newly created position, this person will be responsible for supporting the commercialization and ongoing assessment of the existing investment product lineup across European markets. This role serves as the primary liaison between the European distribution team, European investment teams, and the centralized U.S.-based Product Management and Product Development teams.
The position focuses on tailoring product positioning for European markets, providing critical competitive intelligence, identifying product gaps, and uncovering market opportunities to enhance the competitiveness and differentiation of the product offering for European clients and distribution partners.
Key Responsibilities- Tailor and adapt product positioning developed by the centralized product management team for European market relevance and resonance (i.e. sales talking points, fund performance rationale, competitive intelligence reports).
- Develop and maintain comprehensive competitive intelligence on the European UCITS landscape; analyse competitor products, positioning, performance, and market trends; provide actionable insights to U.S.-based product teams to enhance differentiation and competitiveness of the existing product line-up.
- Continuously evaluate the existing UCITS product lineup against market needs, competitive offerings, and distribution feedback; identify product gaps, positioning weaknesses, and opportunities for enhancement that strengthen market competitiveness. Utilize findings to feed into assessment of new product ideas and business cases where relevant.
- 5+ years of experience in product management, Product Strategy or competitive intelligence within asset management.
- Knowledge of UCITS products and European investment management market.
- Experience working with distribution teams and/or investment teams.
- Proven ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups and geographies.
- Track record of adapting messaging and positioning for different markets or audiences.
