We are exclusively partnered with a Global Investment Management firm to support with a key hire to lead on Campaign marketing and Media relations for the UK market. This role requires previous experience creating differentiated and impactful marketing campaigns targeting the UK client segment. In addition, this individual must have held responsibilities within public relations, employee communications or corporate communications within an Asset Management setting.
Role & responsibilities in Communications
- Develop relationships with key journalists across national print, online and broadcast media, as well as specialist financial trade press in the UK.
- Arrange and attend press meetings and press events in the UK, preparing briefings when necessary.
- Write local UK-focused press releases and distribute to local press.
- Support in the localization of the firm's global story and expertise, adapting and distributing global media announcements, contributing to global coverage round-ups and reports, supporting the delivery of the global media plan.
- Take the lead for local internal events.
Role & responsibilities in Marketing
- Develop and deliver considered marketing plans for the UK using the full mix of marketing channels.
- Strives to represent the client internally whilst also providing a strong representation of global marketing to sales colleagues and beyond.
- Local Marketing Strategy: Develop innovative, strategic and tactical marketing plans for relevant UK client segments, working in collaboration with distribution.
- Global Campaign Management: Deliver global campaigns locally, adapting materials to meet local compliance and needs.
- Content and Communication: Curate, distribute, and maintain content for local channels, including social media and websites.
- Event Management: Plan and execute local events and presentations.
- Digital and Social Media: Own local websites and social media platforms, ensuring alignment with global strategies.
- Brand and Sponsorship: Implement local brand initiatives and sponsorship activities in alignment with global strategies.
- Analytics and Reporting: Analyse and interpret campaign success against KPIs and report to management.
- Budget Management: Plan and manage activities within the marketing budget, maintaining control and addressing issues early.
Required Skillset/Experience
- Knowledge of the UK asset management industry is essential.
- Product knowledge across various asset classes.
- High client centricity.
- Excellent Communication skills, written and verbal (English native), with an ability to articulate ideas in different formats and situations for different audiences.
- Proficiency with Microsoft suite, in particular PPT. Digital skills a plus.
- Strong eye for detail and accuracy, be it written, visual or numerical communications.
- Proven intercultural skills and an international outlook and desire to work as part of a wider global team.
