Job Description
Responsibilities
- Arranging meetings, preparing thorough prep memos, conducting research on insurance company public filings to understand potential opportunities/areas of focus.
- Creating presentation materials for meetings and finals, determining contact information for new prospects, tracking and delivering follow-up items post meetings, facilitating RFPs/questionnaires, managing contact lists for marketing materials, as well as occasionally hosting meetings in partnership with our Insurance Advisor or on their own.
- Plan and manage client and prospect events for the Insurance Team (pre-event organization, onsite execution, attendee data management, senior management liaison, etc.)
- Oversee all aspects of the day-to-day servicing of existing insurance client accounts. This may include delivery of client reports and materials, fielding ad-hoc client queries, gathering of critical data to quickly respond orally and in writing to client information requests, coordinating meetings, creating agendas, arranging portfolio reviews, writing and consolidating prep notes, preparing review presentations, ensuring that all materials are prepared in a timely manner, and routing transactional requests.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the CRM database (Salesforce) and for tracking client contacts and meetings with clients and prospects, including distribution of conference and meeting notes.
- Develop and maintain a suite of materials for each investment strategy that the fims offers to insurance companies and a suite of thematic oriented or platform presentations including
- Work with the firm’s Portfolio Managers on presentations for industry events and work with Insurance Marketing on conferences, events and symposiums.
- Collaborate with the RFP team on all Request for Proposals for new business with insurers including ensuring that the RFP team’s language describing the firm's insurance capabilities aligns with our positioning and that they have up-to-date descriptions of all new insurance strategies.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or Marketing, and an excellent academic record
- At least 5 years of experience working for an Asset Management Firm
- Must have expereicne of working closely with Insurance clients and be able to demonstrate this
- Track record of outstanding performance and achievement
- A belief that client is first and the ability to influence and lead others to prioritize in that way
- Ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
- Exemplary relationship building skills
- Exceptional verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines with keen ability to multi-task and prioritize
