The role sits within the Middle Office team and is responsible for supporting the operational activities across a fixed income investment platform within an asset management environment. The position provides exposure across a broad range of operational functions including trade support, settlements, reconciliations, asset servicing and corporate actions. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the accurate and timely support of trading and investment activities, liaising with both internal stakeholders and external service providers to maintain high operational standards and controls.

Responsibilities
  • Undertake day-to-day trade support activities across fixed income and multi-asset investment portfolios.
  • Manage post-trade lifecycle events to ensure settlements, corporate actions and income events are processed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
  • Work closely with Front Office trading and investment teams to support operational requirements relating to corporate events, trade queries and portfolio activity.
  • Investigate and resolve cash and position reconciliation breaks in a timely manner, ensuring issues are escalated appropriately where required.
  • Maintain security master data and trade static information to support the accurate recording of trades and positions across internal systems.
  • Coordinate with internal teams including Fund Control, Risk, Finance, Treasury and Front Office to support operational processes and issue resolution.
  • Liaise with external counterparties including custodians, fund administrators, trustees, brokers and agents to ensure effective operational support and service delivery.
  • Develop an understanding of operational workflows and system processes in order to identify opportunities for process improvements, enhanced controls and operational efficiencies.
  • Participate in projects and strategic initiatives aimed at improving operational effectiveness, scalability and overall business delivery.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience within Operations or Middle Office, ideally within an asset management, hedge fund or investment management environment.
  • Exposure to fixed income products and associated operational processes would be advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with reconciliation processes and operational control frameworks.
  • A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and develop product and market knowledge.
