Change Project Manager

Full-Time On-site
William Alexander

Location: London (2 days per week in the office)

Overview

We're partnering with a growing insurance organisation undergoing a significant business transformation programme and looking to appoint a Change Project Manager into their Strategic Change function.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly visible team responsible for delivering a broad portfolio of strategic change initiatives across claims, operations, technology and business integration. Working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation, you'll play a key role in driving programmes that will shape the future direction of the business.

You'll join an experienced and collaborative change team, working alongside Project Managers, Change Managers and business leaders to successfully deliver a varied transformation portfolio.

The Role

As a Change Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading end-to-end project delivery across a range of business and technology initiatives. You will engage with stakeholders across multiple functions, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to strategic objectives.

The wider change portfolio includes:

  • Claims transformation initiatives
  • Post-acquisition integration projects
  • HR and workforce transformation programmes
  • AI-enabled business change
  • International business initiatives
  • Operational and process improvement projects

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of business change and transformation projects from initiation through to completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, governance structures and delivery roadmaps.
  • Manage project risks, issues, dependencies and stakeholder communications.
  • Work closely with business and technology teams to coordinate successful delivery.
  • Support the design and implementation of Target Operating Models and process improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder meetings to gather requirements and drive project outcomes.
  • Provide regular progress updates to senior leadership and project sponsors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed timelines, budgets and business objectives.
  • Support organisational change activities and business readiness where required.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of project management and change delivery best practices.

About You

We're particularly interested in candidates who have:

  • Experience delivering projects within the insurance industry, ideally within a broking environment.
  • Strong project management experience with a proven track record of successful business change delivery.
  • Exposure to Target Operating Model (TOM), operational transformation or process improvement programmes.
  • Experience managing stakeholders across business and technology functions.
  • Excellent planning, organisation and communication skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple workstreams and priorities simultaneously.
  • A proactive, collaborative and solution-focused approach.

The following would be advantageous but are not essential:

  • Change Management or Prosci certification.
  • PMO experience.
  • Claims transformation programmes.
  • Salesforce-related projects.
  • M&A or post-acquisition integration work.
  • Workday implementations.
  • AI-enabled transformation initiatives.

Why Apply?

This is an opportunity to join a business investing heavily in transformation and change, offering exposure to a diverse portfolio of strategic programmes. You'll work alongside experienced change professionals and senior stakeholders, with the chance to make a genuine impact on the future operating model and growth of the organisation.

The role would be particularly well suited to a Project Manager with London Market or broking experience who is looking to broaden their exposure across strategic transformation, operational change and enterprise-wide initiatives.
