A leading UK financial services organisation is seeking a Head of Engineering to drive the strategic evolution of its Retail technology landscape. This role will lead the delivery of modern engineering practices, AI first approaches, and resilient, scalable platforms that underpin the organisation's customer facing products. Reporting to senior technology leadership, this position will shape engineering excellence, capability growth, and long term technical direction across the Retail division.
Qualifications
- You have a strong background in engineering leadership across multi team environments.
- You bring deep, hands on understanding of modern engineering practices including software development, cloud architecture, CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, and security first design.
- You have experience driving AI first, context driven engineering approaches.
- You have led engineering organisations at scale (50+ FTE including partners) and can influence senior stakeholders effectively.
- You have experience balancing Legacy modernisation with cloud native transformation.
