TheControl ofWorksengineer (Compliance) will report to the Site EngineeringMaintenanceManager (Compliance) for Leven Packaging.
The aim is to ensure the site iscompliantin accordance withcurrent legislation and Diageo Global Technical standards.
This would ensure compliance in the following areas: -
Control of Contractors
PermitIssuing
Risk assessments and Method Statements
PermitDocumentation archive
Delivering and embedding a positive safety culture
- Facilitate Weekly Control of Contractors meeting.
- Facilitate permit cover across shifts as required.
- First Approver for all Site EngineeringRAMS managedthrough theHelixsystem.
- 2ndApprover for all other site works RAMS managed through theHelixsystem.
- Issue permits asrequiredtosafelycontrol contractor/in-houseactivitiesandmonitorcompliance throughout the works,ensure sign off on completion of worksand close permits inEnablon
- Carry out periodic Contractor Audits.
- DeliverrelevantH&S briefs, safety alerts and toolboxtalksto Contractors.
- Assistin developing standardised engineering strategies forthe Control of Contractors.
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
- Prepare reports and update visual management forMaintenanceManager.
- Contribute to dynamic risk assessment process fornon-routineactivities.
The main focus of role is around SAFE management of contractors:
- Computer literate (e.g. Microsoft office and CMMS such as SAP)
- Previouspermitwriting experience
- Strong working knowledge of Risk assessments and Method Statements
- Strong working knowledge of permit categories:
- Working at Height
- Confined Space Entry
- Hot Work
- Electrical (LV/HV)ExcavationsLifting Operations
- Strong workingknowledgeof LOTO and Process Isolations
Must have NEBOSH General certificate as a minimum

- SMSTS Site Management Safety Training Scheme or similar
- CSCS Card
