We are looking to recruit a Technical Data Coordinator to provide essential administrative and data‑control support across our technical department. This role will be responsible for the meticulous checking, compiling and exporting of technical information, ensuring the factory floor and external suppliers receive accurate drawings, cutting lists and batch data on time.
Key Responsibilities- Data export and document control
- Final Manufacturing Check: Serve as the final checkpoint before manufacturing by checking and compiling drawing packs.
- Distribution: Print and supply drawings to production; supply drawings and cutting lists to the Timings department.
- Supplier Liaison: Send timber drawings to external suppliers.
- System Integration: Check and import general assemblies into IDI and ensure all drawings have up‑to‑date views in Vault.
- Technical administration and checking
- Batch Verification: Check all batch information (options, part quantities, and colour schemes) and verify the batch job Bill of Materials (BOM).
- CAD Review: Open and review CAD models/drawings to identify missing or incorrect part information, reporting issues to the Lead Engineer or Design team.
- Data Management: Manage colour schemes and ensure correct data is attached to each batch.
- Process Tracking: Check late options, concessions, and completed OCRs; inform CAD/CAM or Timings of required changes via the tracker.
- System and database maintenance
- Maintain WIP (Work in Progress) sheets, production trackers, and drawing pack documents.
- Update and maintain the van option wiki and the NPD (New Product Development) timing drawing area.
- Manage shared drive information areas (e.g., Bayram information).
- Communication and general support
- Inquiry Handling: Answer customer service, technical, and production‑related inquiries.
- Coordination: Arrange replacements and prototype requirements with production and CAD/CAM.
- Operational Support: Stock and maintain print room supplies; order timber kits and manage the fire register in the team lead’s absence.
- Detail‑Oriented: Strong administrative background with a meticulous eye for detail.
- Technical Literacy: Comfortable navigating technical data, databases, and document management systems (experience with Vault or similar MRP/ERP systems is highly advantageous).
- Highly organised: Ability to manage multiple tracking sheets and data exports simultaneously.
- Strong Communicator: Confident in liaising clearly between technical staff, production teams, and external suppliers.
- Proactive: Skilled at spotting errors in data and escalating them to the relevant engineering personnel before export to the factory floor.
