Location The Well, Willen Hospice - Milton Keynes Salary Circa £28,000 per annum pro rata Working pattern 28-30 hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekends Closing Date Thursday, September 17, 2026 Job Summary
We’re looking for a compassionate and organised fundraiser to join Willen Hospice as our In Memory Executive. This is a key supporter-facing role within our Strategic Fundraising & Partnerships team, providing warm and thoughtful support to donors who choose to remember a loved one through giving to the Hospice.
You’ll coordinate our In Memory fundraising programme – from tribute funds and the Tree of Life to funeral collections and remembrance events like Lights of Love – helping create meaningful ways for people to celebrate and remember those they’ve lost, while growing participation and income for the Hospice.
If you combine genuine empathy with strong organisational skills, and want a role where your work directly supports grieving families and the care we provide, we’d love to hear from you.
What you’ll do:
- Support the delivery and development of our In Memory fundraising programme, including Tree of Life, tribute funds, funeral collections and remembrance campaigns.
- Act as the main point of contact for In Memory fundraising enquiries, providing a compassionate, professional and responsive service.
- Build relationships with supporters, families, funeral directors and organisations to raise awareness and generate referrals.
- Manage the day-to-day administration of the MuchLoved platform, including tribute pages and online remembrance activity.
- Support the planning and delivery of remembrance events, including our annual Lights of Love service.
- Maintain accurate CRM records of supporter interactions and fundraising activity, and produce reports on income and participation.
- Identify opportunities to grow In Memory participation, donations and supporter involvement.
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Able to build warm, professional relationships with supporters, families, partners and clinical teams.
- An excellent communicator, able to speak and write sensitively and compassionately with bereaved individuals and families.
- Experienced in fundraising, customer service, supporter care or a similar public-facing role.
- Highly organised, with strong project coordination skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
Charity sector experience is desirable but not essential – just as important is your resilience, empathy and professionalism when supporting people through bereavement and remembrance.
Ready to help us honour the memories that matter most?
