Job Summary
As a Senior Product Marketing Specialist, you will report to the Global Product Marketing Manager and will be responsible for supporting the execution of the company's global product marketing strategy within the Europe and India regions. The primary focus of this role will be leading competitive intelligence efforts — collecting, analysing, and communicating competitor insights that influence product positioning, portfolio direction, and go-to market strategies. Working cross-functionally, you will collaborate with Product Management and regional teams to align portfolio performance with market needs, identify unmet opportunities, and ensure our products remain competitive across key segments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the global competitive intelligence framework by maintaining a deep and continuous understanding of competitor activities.
- Responsibilities include planning and consolidating competitive research; coordinating cross-regional intelligence gathering; benchmarking product performance; analyzing competitors' market, product, and channel strategies; creating a competitive intelligence database; and identifying emerging competitive threats.
- Synthesize insights and deliver recommendations that directly inform global product marketing, product management, and commercial strategy.
- Support the global product promotion strategy by translating global direction into regional plans for Europe and India.
- Contribute to detailed product roadmaps for assigned products and conduct Voice of Customer exercises to understand market needs within the regions, identifying opportunities that influence both regional and global product planning.
- Assist in evaluating and expanding product lines through OEM-driven initiatives within Europe and India.
- Develop and refine specifications for line extensions and region-specific products.
- Gather and analyze regional customer and market feedback to create marketing specifications and contribute regional insights to global business plans.
- Work collaboratively with global leadership and regional teams (Managing Directors, Commercial Directors, Business Development Management, and Senior Operations Management) to ensure sales and manufacturing strategies align with the global product strategy.
- Communicate competitive insights and regional trends that influence global portfolio direction.
- Monitor and assess the performance of newly launched products in the Europe and India regions, including service level, quality, and profitability.
- Provide regional input on pricing recommendations for new products, incorporating competitive benchmarks and channel-specific dynamics.
- Identify early performance risks and communicate them to Product Management and Global Marketing.
About You
- 5+ years of experience in product marketing, sales, or engineering.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, Product Management, or a technical field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven ability to analyse competitive data across markets and synthesise insights into actionable recommendations.
- Experience translating global direction into regional product and marketing plans.
- Strong understanding of product lifecycle and portfolio management.
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen with ability to assess product performance, pricing, and market trends.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, pressured environment.
