We’re supporting our client, a global, leading Injection Moulding Machinery manufacturer, who are looking for a Service Engineer to join their growing team. The successful Service Engineer will have previous experience working in an IM Service role, as well as experience with electrical and hydraulic systems. This is a hybrid position and can be based anywhere in the UK.
Responsibilities for Service Engineer:
- Install and commission injection moulding machines and automation at customer sites, ensuring appropriate commissioning in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
- Provide on-site technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues with injection moulding machines and automation.
- Maintain accurate records of service activities, including service reports and equipment history, using our internal systems.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, to repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults on injection moulding machines and automation.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers and colleagues, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution of technical issues in order to maximize customer satisfaction.
- A willingness to travel the UK and Ireland to meet both customer and company requirements.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Where appropriate support the development of documentation, training within the service team.
- Support cross training of personnel ensuring skills & knowledge gained through formal training are applied consistently.
About You:
- National Certificate/NVQ 3 in a relevant engineering discipline.
- Time served apprenticeship.
- Experience in working in a similar maintenance role/environment.
- Experience of electrical and hydraulic systems.
- Self-disciplined to manage own projects/jobs within the targeted time frame.
- Excellent IT, Communication and Interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously or as part of a team.
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude.
- Solution driven, with a can-do approach.
- Customer Focused.
