A part-time Cleaner is required to work across four supported living properties in Waltham Cross, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety for adults and young people with disabilities.
SALARY: £12.75 per hour (Part-time – 4 hours per day, 4 days per week)
MAIN JOB FUNCTION: To maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for service users, staff, and visitors.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Carry out daily cleaning duties across supported living properties, including communal areas, kitchens, bathrooms, offices, and service user living spaces.
- Complete cleaning schedules and checklists in line with organisational standards.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness in accordance with infection prevention and control procedures.
- Use cleaning chemicals, materials, and equipment safely and correctly following COSHH guidelines.
- Report maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns promptly to management.
HEALTH, SAFETY, AND COMPLIANCE:
- Ensure all cleaning duties comply with Willboag Ltd Health and Safety policies.
- Adhere to safeguarding policies and maintain professional boundaries.
- Respect the privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of service users.
- Dispose of waste correctly, including clinical and domestic waste where applicable.
WORKING WITHIN SUPPORTED LIVING ENVIRONMENTS:
- Work respectfully within the homes of vulnerable adults and young people.
- Be mindful of service users’ routines, sensory needs, and personal space.
- Communicate professionally with staff regarding access, priorities, and any concerns.
TEAMWORK AND GENERAL DUTIES:
- Work flexibly across four local supported living properties.
- Support the smooth running of the service by maintaining clean, safe environments.
- Attend mandatory training relevant to the role, including safeguarding and health & safety.
- Undertake other duties commensurate with the grade of the post.
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experience in a cleaning role or similar environment (desirable but not essential).
- Experience working in environments requiring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
- Willingness to undertake training relevant to the role.
