A leading drainage services & civil engineering company based in Warwickshire, The Midlands require a HGV Jet Vac Operator & Driver.

Department: Drainage Engineering

Salary: Depending on experience.

Job Type: Full time, 50 hours, basic hours Monday – Friday approx. 06.30 – 16.30, Overtime available.

Role overview: To visit various sites all over the Midlands and UK and operate drainage tankers and Jet Vac Units and assist the CCTV drainage surveying team while on site. Applicants must ensure Jet Vac unit is organised and fully equipped to carry out daily tasks; carry out cleansing and record findings, be able to liaise directly with customers/contracts managers to discuss findings; problem shoot and proactively solve on-site issues. The applicant will, on occasion, be required to enter confined spaces and work closely with sewage. Flexibility is key as the applicant will be working on planned and reactive blockages throughout the Midlands as well as nationwide.

About you: The ideal applicant must be a good team worker, hardworking, polite, presentable and enthusiastic and have previous experience using High Pressure Jetting and Vacuum units. Previous experience with drainage/sewage treatment works is an advantage but not essential as full training can be given to the right candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum HGV Class 2 (essential)
  • HGV 1 preferred
  • Drainage experience
  • An up to date CSCS card
  • A high-pressure water jetting certificate
  • Confined spaces or NRSWA qualification
  • A full driving license is essential
  • Own transport is imperative
