An experienced Drainage Estimator is required for a leading drainage services & civil engineering company based in the Midlands to deliver the best priced quotes to clients.
Location: Carlyon Industrial Estate, Atherstone, Warwickshire

Job Type: Full time, basic hours Monday – Friday 08:30 – 16:30
Start date: Immediate

Role overview: This predominately office-based role involves preparing and developing drainage estimates; producing estimates in compliance with drainage standards and procedures; regular communication with the project clients to ensure delivery and cost effectiveness; project planning and management, efficiently processing WinCan reports and findings, presenting findings to clients, collating and analysing historical cost data for bench‑marking purposes. Applicants must be able to manage projects, liaise directly with clients and suppliers and are required to report back to the senior drainage estimator and directors in weekly meetings. Some nationwide travel and site visits may also be required.
About you: The ideal applicant must be motivated, a great team worker with a ‘can do’ attitude, hardworking, polite, presentable and enthusiastic, a peoples person and must have previous drainage experience, as well as be willing to work some overtime where necessary.
Qualifications:
- A National Sewerage Association OS20X or OS19X is preferred
- Knowledge of processing WinCan reports and plans
- Have a proven track record of estimating within the drainage industry
- Excellent communication and customer relation skills
- Knowledge of the drainage industry and terminology
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Access, Project)
- 3 years previous experience working on drainage sites with contractors
- A full driving license is essential. Own transport is imperative.
In‑house training can be given to the right candidate.
