The Opportunity
This newly created role will support a key business unit, working closely with finance leadership and operational stakeholders to deliver high-quality reporting, analysis, and decision support. You'll play a key role in enhancing reporting processes, improving data visibility, and identifying opportunities to automate and streamline finance operations. The position offers regular interaction with Finance Directors and senior stakeholders across multiple business entities, providing excellent exposure and long-term career progression opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain recurring financial and performance reports across the business unit
- Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and key business insights
- Standardise reporting definitions, templates, and processes across multiple entities
- Automate existing manual reporting activities to improve efficiency and strengthen controls
- Partner with accounting teams to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting
- Deliver ad-hoc analysis and reporting to support business decision-making
- Develop and enhance reporting tools, dashboards, and analytics capabilities using Excel and Power BI
- Support continuous improvement initiatives across reporting, analytics, and finance processes
- Help senior management improve visibility of business performance through enhanced reporting and data analysis
Candidate Profile
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline
- Minimum three years' experience within finance, reporting, analytics, or a similar business-facing finance role
- Strong experience analysing and interpreting complex data sets
- Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, functions, and reporting tools
- Ability to convert data into clear, actionable business insights
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data-gathering capabilities
- Commercially aware with good business acumen
- Proactive approach with a genuine interest in automation and process improvement
Desirable Experience
- Power BI dashboard creation and reporting experience
- Exposure to shared services or multi-entity organisations
- Experience working with ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O
- Part-qualified CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent finance qualification
