A well-established organisation is seeking an experienced

Head of Finance to provide strategic financial leadership during an exciting period of growth and transformation. Based in

Edinburgh with hybrid working , this permanent opportunity offers a salary of up to circa £65,000 .

The Opportunity Reporting to the CFO, you will lead an established finance function and play a key role in supporting the organisation's strategic direction.

This is a broad leadership position that combines operational excellence with commercial insight, giving you the opportunity to influence decision-making across the business while driving continuous improvement throughout the finance function.

You’ll lead a capable team, oversee financial reporting and planning, strengthen governance and controls, and work closely with senior stakeholders to ensure finance remains a proactive business partner.

Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a small, high-performing finance team.

Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts and annual budgets.

Oversee statutory reporting, external audit and financial compliance.

Provide commercial analysis, financial modelling and strategic insight to senior leadership.

Drive improvements across finance systems, reporting and processes.

Ensure robust financial controls, governance and risk management.

Partner with budget holders to improve financial performance and decision-making.

Manage cashflow forecasting and long‑term financial planning.

Deputise for the CFO when required.

Candidate Profile Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

Proven experience leading a finance function within a medium‑sized organisation.

Strong technical accounting knowledge alongside commercial awareness.

Demonstrable experience delivering budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.

Track record of improving finance processes, controls and reporting.

Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

A collaborative leader who enjoys developing teams and influencing positive change.
