WA is working with an established and successful business based on the outskirts of Glasgow to help source a Payroll Supervisor. The role will be responsible for the processing and accuracy of Payroll and Auto Enrolment and all other associated work RTI, BACS, P60s, and HMRC enquiries etc. Additionally, you will provide a comprehensive service to the Group by processing their payrolls.
Key Responsibilities:
- To ensure that weekly wages and monthly salaries are paid accurately in accordance with monthly payroll deadlines (including auto-enrolment deadlines).
- To oversee the efficient administration of all elements of payroll including Tax and NI calculations, statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and sickness payments, student loan and other deductions, taxable and non-taxed benefits.
- To conduct regular internal audits and system checks to ensure that payments are being made correctly.
- Processing joiners, leavers and changes.
- Collaborating with HR to maintain employee data, ensuring it is accurate.
- Adhere to GDPR regulations when dealing with Data.
- Filing pension contribution files to the appropriate pension schemes.
- Year-end processes (P60s etc).
- Explaining calculations and deductions to Line Managers and their employees and resolving any queries.
- Advising Company on any changes to UK payroll tax rules.
- Advising Company on the payroll implications of providing employee benefits and preparing P11D submissions.
- Support the collation of data and preparation of reports.
- Ensuring that payroll is signed off in line with required regulation, compliantly, accurately and on time.
- Produce payroll reports for the Company as required.
- Provide support and development to the Payroll/Accounts Assistant.
About you:
- Previous experience in a similar supervisory payroll position.
- Have an excellent working knowledge of excel.
- Previous use of the Iris Earnie payroll software is desirable.
