WA is delighted to be partnering with a market-leading manufacturing business to recruit a Management Accountant to join their Finance team for a maternity leave cover. This is an exciting opportunity to support the company's continued growth and make a real impact across the organisation.

This role can be based either in their West Lothian branch, or their South Fife one and is 100% on site.

The Role:

\\n\\n

The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely management information, supporting decision-making, and driving continuous process improvement. This is an ideal role for a hands-on finance professional looking to take ownership of month-end reporting and partner closely with both Finance and wider business teams.

\\n\\n

Key Responsibilities:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• \\n\\t

  Prepare monthly management accounts and first drafts of reporting packs for senior leadership

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Maintain and review balance sheet reconciliations, investigating variances and anomalies

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Post journals for accruals, prepayments, allocations, and intercompany transactions

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Support the year-end audit process and help prepare the annual budget

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Own the fixed asset register, ensuring all additions, disposals, and reconciliations are up to date

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Reconcile fuel usage, company car expenses, credit insurance premiums, and sales rebates

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Develop relationships with key stakeholders to provide insight, analysis, and support

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Suggest improvements and automation opportunities for existing finance processes

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Assist with ad-hoc analysis and project work as required

  \\n\\t

\\n

\\n\\n

About You:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• \\n\\t

  Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, or similar)

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Proven experience working at Management Accountant level in a busy, deadline-driven environment

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Strong Excel and financial reporting system skills

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Excellent attention to detail with a commercial mindset

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  A proactive, solution-orientated team player who can liaise confidently with all areas of the business

  \\n\\t

\\n\\t

• \\n\\t

  Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines

  \\n\\t
