W&A is working with a leading international business to appoint an R2R Finance Transformation Manager on a two-year fixed-term contract , based just outside Glasgow with hybrid working.

This is a high-impact role within a major finance transformation, focused on improving and standardising end-to-end Record to Report processes across close, controls, reporting and ERP-enabled change.

The Opportunity Working closely with the Record to Report workstream leadership, you will coordinate change across the end-to-end R2R landscape, covering period-end close, journals, intercompany, fixed assets, balance sheet reconciliations, consolidation and financial reporting.

You will help translate transformation objectives into practical process designs, clearer ownership, stronger controls and measurable improvements, while keeping delivery aligned across Finance, technology and programme stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the design and implementation of a future-state Record to Report operating model, with clear process ownership and more consistent ways of working.
  • Coordinate improvements to the period-end close, including calendars, hand-offs, dependencies, governance and escalation routes.
  • Help strengthen journal governance and balance sheet reconciliation processes, improving consistency, auditability and issue resolution.
  • Support process redesign across intercompany, fixed assets, accruals, prepayments, consolidation and statutory and management reporting.
  • Translate business process requirements into ERP, data and reporting needs, ensuring agreed designs are reflected in delivery decisions.
  • Identify and manage dependencies with adjacent areas such as master data, tax, treasury, source systems and business unit finance.
  • Use activity analysis and other diagnostics to identify opportunities for simplification, automation and control enhancement.
  • Develop and track meaningful R2R KPIs covering close performance, reconciliation completion, journal quality, reporting timeliness and control adherence.
  • Coordinate communications, change activity and stakeholder readiness to support adoption.
  • What You’ll Bring
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of Record to Report, including close, journals, reconciliations, intercompany, fixed assets, consolidation and financial reporting.
  • Experience supporting finance transformation, process redesign or continuous improvement in a complex, multi-entity or shared services environment.
  • Good understanding of financial controls, governance and compliance and how these should be embedded into process design.
  • Experience of ERP-enabled change, including turning business requirements into process, data, reporting and system inputs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with confidence using data and diagnostics to identify issues and shape decisions.
  • Effective stakeholder management skills and the ability to coordinate priorities across finance, programme and operational teams.
  • A structured, delivery-focused approach, with the organisation to manage multiple dependencies.

Package & Benefits

  • Two-year fixed-term contract.
  • Broader benefits include pension, bonus opportunity, flexible working and private healthcare.
  • Location: just outside Glasgow, with hybrid working.

The Opportunity

  • Take a central role in a wide-ranging finance transformation with visible business impact.
  • Gain exposure across the full R2R process landscape rather than a single specialist area.
  • Work at the intersection of finance process, controls, reporting, data and ERP change.
  • Join a globally recognised consumer business.
