W&A is supporting a global organisation to recruit an FP&A Transformation Manager on a two-year fixed-term contract , based just outside Glasgow with hybrid working.
This role will help reshape budgeting, forecasting and performance management as part of a major finance transformation, combining process design, stakeholder coordination and technology-enabled change.
The Opportunity You will work alongside the planning transformation lead to turn strategic objectives into clear workstream deliverables and help build a more consistent, efficient planning and forecasting model.
The remit combines process design, stakeholder coordination, KPI development, change readiness and technology requirements, making it well suited to someone who can bridge detailed finance process knowledge with disciplined programme delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the design of the future operating model for budgeting and forecasting, coordinating inputs and documenting clear business requirements.
- Develop and maintain a practical process taxonomy and supporting standards for planning and performance activity.
- Translate workstream priorities into defined actions, timelines and outputs, driving disciplined follow-up and delivery.
- Help shape requirements for tools and applications that will enable the future planning model, including user needs, impacts and readiness considerations.
- Use activity analysis and other diagnostic information to establish current-state effort and highlight opportunities for improvement.
- Track risks, issues and dependencies across the workstream, escalating appropriately where delivery may be affected.
- Coordinate finance process inputs into a wider ERP-enabled transformation and help ensure agreed standards are reflected in solution design.
- Support the definition of consistent planning and performance KPIs, including data inputs, ownership and measurement approach.
- Coordinate change communications and stakeholder engagement to support adoption of new processes and ways of working.
- Candidate Profile
- Experience in finance transformation, operating model redesign or business change, ideally involving budgeting, forecasting or wider FP&A processes.
- Strong understanding of planning and performance processes and the confidence to shape requirements and challenge constructively.
- A track record of coordinating across multiple stakeholder groups and maintaining progress through competing priorities and dependencies.
- Strong analytical judgement, with the ability to interpret data, identify material themes and support insight-led decisions.
- Clear, credible communication skills and the ability to build alignment across Finance, programme leadership and wider business teams.
- Experience with process documentation, governance materials, KPI frameworks and technology-enabled change.
- Highly organised and delivery-focused, with strong attention to detail and a practical approach to managing actions, risks and outputs.
