Financial Reporting & Controls Lead

WA is partnering with a well-established organisation to recruit a Financial Reporting Controls Lead.This role offers an excellent opportunity to lead financial reporting, compliance, and control processes in a complex and evolving environment.

This role is based in Edinburgh and will operate on a hybrid basis.

Key Responsibilities:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards.

\\n\\t

• Manage external audit processes and act as the primary point of contact for auditors.

\\n\\t

• Lead the month-end and year-end financial close processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

\\n\\t

• Develop and enhance financial controls, ensuring strong governance across the organization.

\\n\\t

• Oversee cash flow forecasting, treasury functions, and risk management strategies.

\\n\\t

• Provide technical accounting advice and support to senior leadership.

\\n\\t

• Manage and develop a finance team, fostering a high-performance culture.

\\n\\n

About You:

\\n\\n

\\n\\t
• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAS, or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience.

\\n\\t

• Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly in financial reporting and compliance.

\\n\\t

• Experience in managing external audits and liaising with auditors.

\\n\\t

• Strong leadership skills, with experience in managing and mentoring teams.

\\n\\t

• Ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive financial process improvements.
