Finance Manager Part Qualified Central Edinburgh Fully Office Based

WA are excited to be partnering once again with a client of ours who continues to go from strength to strength.

The role of Finance Manager will support two Finance Assistants daily while supporting and reporting directly into the Financial Controller.

You will be working as part of a dynamic finance team that in addition to the day to day finances, contributes to the commercial and strategic goals of the organisation. This is a super opportunity for someone looking to move into a more commercial skillset.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Review of accounts receivable
  • Review of accounts payable
  • Ownership of trial balance accounts including accruals and prepayments
  • Review of monthly stock reconciliations
  • Submission of sales tax returns
  • Assisting in preparation of month end management accounts
  • Assisting with year end audit and tax compliance
  • Ad hoc projects including managing year end stock counts and cost analysis

The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years experience in an industry finance team ( stock/product business preferred ) that includes managing the purchase and sales ledgers as well as some exposure to the preparation of month end management accounts.

The candidate should have excellent numeracy and excel skills and strong attention to detail. The candidate should be able to reconcile accounts, manage payment runs and liaise with staff across all departments. Given the entrepreneurial nature of the business, the candidate should be able to deal with change, be able to actively prioritise responsibilities and able to work to and achieve deadlines.

The ideal candidate should be highly motivated, willing to take ownership, comfortable working autonomously and keen to progress their career in finance.
