W&A is supporting a growing business to appoint a Stock Accountant to join their finance function. This opportunity offers strong visibility across operations and supply chain, with responsibility for ensuring stock is accurately recorded, valued and reported across multiple locations.
This is a hands-on position within a commercial finance environment, with responsibility for stock reconciliations, valuation and associated general ledger accounts. You'll act as the key link between warehouse operations and finance, ensuring data integrity across systems while supporting year-end and audit requirements.
It's well suited to a part-qualified candidate looking to broaden their commercial exposure, or someone qualified by experience who thrives in a stock-focused environment. Study support can be provided, though this is not essential.
Key Responsibilities- Reconciliation of stock across all locations between the warehouse system and ERP
- Management of all deliveries into SAP ByDesign, including valuation of stock for freight and duty
- Monitoring stock valuation and investigating discrepancies
- Managing stock counts and preparing year-end files for auditors
- Developing and improving stock management processes
- Ownership of specific general ledger accounts in relation to stock
- Experience working within a commercial finance team
- Part-qualified beneficial, though open to qualified by experience
- Experience within a stock-focused business, ideally involving imported goods
- Strong Excel capability
- Experience using an ERP and/or stock management system
- Analytical, detail-oriented and confident liaising with operational stakeholders
- Competitive salary aligned to experience
