Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner who thrives on influencing senior stakeholders, leading teams and shaping strategic decision making? Wilkinson & Associates is partnering with a large, complex organisation to appoint a Senior Finance Business Partner / Lead Finance Business Partner. This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation undergoing significant transformation, where finance plays a pivotal role in driving long-term strategy and supporting major investment programmes. This is far more than a reporting role. You'll be a trusted commercial partner, helping senior leaders navigate complex decisions, influence change and deliver sustainable financial performance.
The Opportunity
- Working closely with senior leadership, you'll lead the finance partnering function for one of the organisation's largest and most strategically important business areas, overseeing financial activity across a substantial budget and supporting ambitious investment and transformation plans.
- Leading the financial strategy for a major operational area with responsibility for significant budgets.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing commercial insight and constructive challenge.
- Supporting strategic planning, investment appraisal and long-term financial decision making.
- Leading, coaching and developing a high-performing Finance Business Partnering team.
- Driving budgeting, forecasting and financial performance across a complex operational environment.
- Developing robust financial models to support major investment and transformation initiatives.
- Presenting financial insight and recommendations to senior leadership.
- Leading continuous improvement initiatives across the wider finance function.
- Supporting organisational change by translating complex financial information into clear, meaningful insight for non-finance stakeholders.
About You
We're looking for an experienced finance leader who combines strong technical capability with exceptional communication and influencing skills. You'll ideally bring:
- ACA, ACCA, CIMA, ICAS or equivalent professional qualification.
- Significant Finance Business Partnering experience within a large, complex organisation.
- Proven experience leading, developing and motivating finance teams.
- Strong commercial judgement with the ability to influence strategic decision making.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with confidence engaging and challenging senior leaders.
- Experience supporting organisational change, transformation or business improvement programmes.
- Advanced financial planning, modelling, budgeting and forecasting expertise.
- The ability to communicate complex financial information in a clear, engaging and practical way.
- Experience gained within large, matrix organisations across either the public or private sector will be considered.
