Based in Edinburgh with hybrid working, this 6-month Fixed-Term Contract offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a collaborative finance team, supporting complex financial reporting, statutory accounting and continuous improvement initiatives.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong finance professional to join a high-performing finance function during a busy period. Working across EMEA entities, you'll support financial reporting, strengthen financial controls, prepare statutory accounts and work closely with auditors and senior stakeholders, while contributing to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Support financial reporting and financial control activities across multiple legal entities.
- Prepare annual reports and statutory financial statements under FRS102.
- Assist with period-end close and ensure the integrity of the general ledger.
- Liaise with auditors and external service providers throughout the audit process.
- Support regulatory and capital reporting requirements.
- Prepare technical accounting papers where judgement or interpretation is required.
- Identify opportunities to improve finance processes and strengthen controls.
- Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and global finance teams.
Candidate Profile
- Strong technical financial accounting and financial control experience within investment management.
- Experience preparing statutory financial statements and managing external audits.
- Professional accounting qualification is desirable.
- Big 4 background would be advantageous.
- Strong finance systems experience.
- Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Able to manage competing priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
