The portfolio is varied, complex and commercially interesting, offering exposure well beyond a standard finance role.
The Role
Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will support a broad mix of quarterly and annual compliance activity, statutory reporting, tax, cash management, investment reporting and ad hoc project work. The role would suit someone who is comfortable operating in a smaller finance environment where everyone is expected to take ownership, get involved and contribute across a broad range of tasks.

- Preparing corporation tax and personal tax information for external advisers

- Managing day-to-day cashflow, payments and banking controls
- Preparing VAT returns, including group and partial exemption returns
- Liaising with banks and supporting quarterly reporting requirements

- Supporting company secretarial work, KYC requirements and CRS reporting
- Contributing to ad hoc finance, reporting and project work
About You
You will likely be a CA or ACCA qualified accountant with strong technical grounding and a genuine interest in working across a varied, hands-on finance role. You should bring:
- Experience gained in a small to medium-sized accountancy firm and/or a broad finance role in industry
- Strong Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping
- The ability to manage competing demands from different stakeholders
- A self-sufficient, organised and proactive working style
- Confidence working to deadlines and taking ownership of your work
- Experience with Microsoft Business Central would be advantageous
This role would particularly suit someone who enjoys technical variety, likes understanding how things work, and wants to be part of a small team where their contribution is visible.
