The Opportunity
W&A is looking for a forward-thinking Audit Analyst with a focus on Technology Transformation for a leading financial institution. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a modern, evolving audit function that embraces innovation, automation and data-led insights.
In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping and delivering technology audits across complex systems and critical business infrastructure. You'll evaluate and test key controls, support senior team members, and help shape a function that's strategic, agile and aligned with modern business needs.
Location: Edinburgh or Bristol (Hybrid working)
What You'll Be Doing
- Contribute to the delivery of audit plans and individual audits.
- Design and perform control testing to identify risk exposures.
- Work collaboratively within the audit team and support stakeholder engagement.
- Bring external thinking to audit themes through ongoing research and horizon scanning.
- Help drive continuous improvement and innovation in audit tools and techniques, including AI and automation.
- Actively support a culture of knowledge sharing and coaching across the team.
About You
- Experience auditing a range of IT controls, including application controls, IT general controls, and automated business processes.
- Strong technical grasp of infrastructure (e.g., Windows, UNIX/Linux, Mainframe), cloud environments, networks, and resilience measures.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle, DevOps practices, and associated risks.
- Awareness of cyber and information security, and operational resilience practices.
- Proven ability to deliver work independently, assess risk and communicate findings clearly.
- Critical thinking skills and curiosity to explore emerging tech risks, including AI.
