W&A is working with a global FinTech to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their finance team. The business has seen consistent year-on-year growth and continues on the upward trajectory as they implement their growth strategy.
The Role: The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the month-end close, processing intercompany transactions, and assisting with both accounts payable and receivable. This is an ideal role for someone looking to build their technical knowledge and broaden their finance experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with preparation of journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Review and support with bank reconciliations and ledger analysis
- Help prepare monthly management accounts
- Support with preparation of recharge calculations and invoices
- Perform reconciliations and liaise with global teams to resolve discrepancies
- Process staff expense claims and supplier payments
- Review purchase orders and prepare sales invoices
- Communicate with customers regarding invoicing matters
- Support wider finance team with additional tasks and projects as required
About You:
- Part-qualified (ACCA, ICAS, ICAEW or similar)
- 1–2 years of experience in a financial control or accounting environment
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Intermediate Excel skills and confidence working with finance systems
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage workload to meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
