We're supporting a growing renewable energy business with a strong UK and Ireland presence to appoint a Finance / Office Administrator. Based in Alloa (fully office-based), this is a permanent opportunity, ideally full-time (37.5 hours per week), with flexibility to consider part-time applicants (minimum 30 hours) for the right individual.

This is a pivotal support role within a multi-million-pound group managing significant operational and development-stage assets. You'll work closely with the Financial Controller and Finance Director, helping to maintain robust financial controls while ensuring the smooth running of core finance and administrative processes.

The Opportunity

This is a broad and varied position, combining transactional finance, bookkeeping and general office administration. You'll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records across the group, supporting purchase-to-pay processes, reconciliations and VAT returns, while also assisting with wider office coordination.

It's ideally suited to someone who takes pride in detail, enjoys working independently once established, and thrives in a dynamic, growing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer purchase requisitions and purchase orders
  • Register, monitor and process accounts payable invoices
  • Prepare and support vendor payment runs
  • Process financial data into Sage Intacct
  • Complete bank reconciliations and company card/expense reconciliations
  • Manage monthly timesheet submissions, ensuring completeness and accuracy
  • Prepare VAT returns and associated reconciliations
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records, including scanning, filing and archiving
  • Provide general office administration support, including answering calls and handling mail
  • Assist with ad hoc finance tasks and, on occasion, statutory accounts preparation and liaison with external accountants and auditors

About You

  • Proven experience in a bookkeeping or finance administration role, ideally within a small to medium-sized business
  • Strong accounts payable experience
  • Experience using financial management systems (Sage Intacct or similar highly advantageous)
  • Confident user of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Highly numerate with exceptional attention to detail
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities to tight deadlines
  • Professional, discreet and committed to maintaining strict commercial confidentiality
  • Positive, proactive and adaptable approach to work

A recognised bookkeeping or accounting qualification would be advantageous but is not essential.

Package Benefits

  • Salary to 28,000 per annum (pro-rated if part-time), depending on skills and experience
  • 25 days' annual leave plus 12 statutory/office closure days (pro-rated if part-time)
  • Occupational sick pay
  • Auto-enrolment pension with 3% employer contribution (salary sacrifice available)
  • Private health insurance (taxable benefit, with option to add family members)
  • Electric car salary sacrifice scheme
  • Team bonus scheme
  • Ongoing personal development support and structured performance reviews

The Opportunity

  • Join a purpose-led organisation contributing to the UK's renewable energy transition
  • Varied, hands-on role with exposure across finance and operations
  • Supportive leadership team and collaborative culture
  • Stability of an established business with continued growth ambitions
